XRP Price Outlook: Can Buyers Overcome the Key $1.12 Resistance?

XRP continues to trade below a crucial technical barrier as sellers retain control of the short-term trend despite improving activity across the XRP Ledger ecosystem. Although network adoption continues to accelerate through rising AI-related transactions and stablecoin usage, price action remains constrained beneath several important resistance levels.

In this latest market update, analysts at Bankolla examine the technical landscape and the fundamental developments influencing XRP’s near-term outlook.

Bearish Momentum Continues To Dominate

XRP is trading around $1.09, posting a modest daily recovery while remaining trapped beneath the critical $1.12 resistance level. Despite the slight rebound, the broader technical picture continues favoring sellers, as repeated attempts to regain higher ground have failed to produce a sustained breakout.

Market participants remain cautious after XRP lost support from its previous ascending trendline. The breakdown shifted short-term momentum in favor of bears and increased expectations that additional downside remains possible unless buyers reclaim the key resistance area.

Order flow data also reflects this cautious environment. Binance’s Cumulative Volume Delta (CVD) currently stands at -6.93 million, indicating that executed selling volume continues exceeding buying activity. The 30-day Price-CVD correlation of 0.84 further suggests that price action remains closely aligned with prevailing order flow, reinforcing the current bearish sentiment.

Although occasional buying interest continues to appear during intraday trading, sellers have repeatedly absorbed demand near resistance, preventing XRP from establishing a stronger recovery.

Technical Indicators Favor Sellers

From a technical perspective, XRP remains positioned beneath every major exponential moving average, highlighting the strength of the prevailing downtrend.

The 20-day EMA sits near $1.10, followed by the 50-day EMA at $1.15, the 100-day EMA around $1.25, and the 200-day EMA close to $1.46. These moving averages create multiple layers of overhead resistance that buyers must overcome before sentiment can shift meaningfully.

The market also remains close to the middle Bollinger Band around $1.08, while the upper band near $1.16 represents another important resistance zone. A sustained move above both the median band and the $1.12 resistance level would significantly improve the technical outlook and increase confidence that bullish momentum is returning.

Until then, rallies may continue attracting selling pressure as traders favor short-term bearish positioning.

Network Activity Continues To Improve

Despite the weak technical picture, blockchain activity continues demonstrating encouraging long-term growth.

The XRP Ledger has now processed more than 1.21 million AI agent transactions, highlighting expanding adoption of automated applications across the network. At the same time, XRP settlements have surged by 279%, reaching approximately 3,784.90 XRP, while RLUSD settlements have climbed by 304% to around 1,641.14 RLUSD.

Liquidity growth also remains impressive. Deposits of RLUSD into the Morpho protocol have reached a record $250 million, representing a 40% monthly increase and reflecting stronger participation within the expanding decentralized finance ecosystem built around XRP infrastructure.

These on-chain improvements suggest that network fundamentals continue strengthening even while price performance remains under pressure.

Key Price Levels To Watch

The $1.12 resistance level remains the most important area for traders in the coming sessions. A decisive breakout above this threshold could encourage buyers to challenge higher resistance levels near the 50-day EMA and eventually the $1.16 Bollinger Band.

Failure to reclaim resistance would likely keep sellers in control.

On the downside, analysts continue monitoring support targets around $1.058, $1.013, $0.950, and $0.900, which could become increasingly relevant if bearish momentum accelerates.

At present, the combination of weak technical positioning and negative order flow continues favoring caution despite improving blockchain metrics.

Conclusion

XRP remains caught between improving network fundamentals and persistent technical weakness. Rising blockchain activity, expanding RLUSD adoption, and growing AI-related transactions continue supporting the project’s long-term outlook, but buyers have yet to translate these positive developments into sustained price appreciation.

As long as XRP trades beneath the critical $1.12 resistance level and below its major exponential moving averages, sellers are likely to maintain the short-term advantage. Investors following this XRP price analysis should continue monitoring order flow, technical indicators, and on-chain activity to determine whether improving fundamentals eventually trigger a stronger bullish reversal.
