His refusal sparks an enduring conflict with his father, Benedict Le Moyne, a commanding patriarch who equates loyalty with obedience and legacy with control.

About the Author
Elzbieta Bridgette is a New Orleans–based writer whose work focuses on power, legacy, and the emotional complexities of family life. Drawing inspiration from Southern history and setting, Salt & Stone: A New Orleans Heir is her debut novel.
